Balangan Beach Bali is well known for its wave, it has long right handy wave the second longest right handy wave after Madewi in Bali. A really good surf place for you who loves surfing.
If the wave is calm you can learn to surf here, there are many surf school area the area.
The beach is also nice for you who just wanna walk on the sand or just to lay down to enjoy the sun.
If you come to the beach in low tide, you can see reef pool with clear water, and sometime you can see colorful fishes in it.
There is a cliff near the entrance, on the cliff you can see open sea widely and you also can see the beach to the end. This cliff is also good place taking photo.

Where is Balangan Beach Bali
The beach is located in the white stone hill area of Pecatu, south part of Bali Island right in Uluwatu peninsula. 25 minutes from Denpasar Airport or 5 minutes to GWK (Garuda Wisnu Kencana) or 20 minutes to Uluwatu Temple.
Things that you should know before you go
- Entrance fee. There is no entrance fee but you have to pay for parking. It is only 5000 rupiah for motorbike and for car you have to pay more.
- No life guard on duty. So if you decided to swim make sure you know the situation, if the current is too strong do not jump to the water.
- See urchins. If you decided to swim at the reef pool make sure it cleans from the see urchins.
- No littering. Lets keep the beach clean.
