The beach’s location is at the bottom of a high cliff, and to reach it, you need to walk on concrete steps on the cliff wall.
Walking along the steps is quiet challenging and interesting. There is a part of the steps that you need to bow your head to avoid a cliff that towers down over, then there is also part on the way that you have to use rope to go down through the steep wall.
But, along the steps to the beach you will see a stunning view of open sea, and if you are lucky, you will spot some turtles and manta rays swimming up to the surface.
The beach is beautiful with long stretch of white sand and clear blue water, but It is not suggested to swim due to its strong current and sharp reef.
On the beach, there is a diamond-shaped rock in the shallow part of the water, and the beach got its name from it.
Things That You Need To Know Before You Go Down To The Beach
- Water. Bring water from above before you go down to the beach, because there is no one selling water below.
- No life-Guard. Don’t think about swimming if you are on the beach, if you swim and something happens to you, there will be no one to help you.
- Don’t litter. The beach is already very clean, so don’t litter, and if you see trash around, please take it and put it in the right place.
- Beware of your belonging. When you park your motorbike at entrance, beware of the wild monkeys, and if you leave your belongings on the motorbike, they probably take and ruin it.

Diamond Beach is in Eastern of Nusa Penida. If you drive a motorbike from PED village, it takes you 1 hour to reach the place.
If you can not find the beach directly, you can go to Atuh beach first, because the location of Diamond beach is close to Atuh beach.
