Lipah Beach Amed is another interesting snorkeling spot in eastern of Bali, a place that you should see.

The beach has unique soft volcanic black sand with calm water, perfect place for you who enjoy to lay down under the sun and to you who love to snorkel to see the underwater marine life.

The place is good if you are traveling with your kids, there is a long stretch of beach for them to play and many colorful corals for them to see directly by snorkeling.

The most interesting thing about this place is the underwater marine life. You can see kinds of colorful fishes swimming and hiding around the corals. And if you are lucky, you will spot moray eels and turtles as well here.  

Even though the location of the beach is 10 minutes away by motorbike from Jemeluk Bay-place where mostly people choose to stay-, you can find many accommodations as well near the beach.

So, if you do not like to drive back and forth from Jemeluk Bay to go here, you can choose one of the accommodations and stay at Lipah Beach.

Lipah Beach is also a fisherman village area; if you walk along the beach to the east, you will see many Jukung-Traditional Balinese boats laid on the shore.

Where is Lipah Beach Amed

The location of the beach is in Bungutan Village. If you drive from Denpasar, it will take you 2 ½ hours by motorbike.

Things That You Need to Know Before You Go to This Spot

Snorkeling Gear

You can bring your own snorkeling gear or you can also rent it there. There are some people who rent snorkeling gear at the beach.

Dont Step on the corals

If you are snorkeling in low tide there will be a huge chance that you will step on the corals, if you step on them, you will break the corals. So, beware if you are snorkeling, try to not step on the corals.

Lets keep the beach clean

Plastic trash is a huge problem in Amed, but the people are trying to fix it to make the area clean. Let’s help them by not throwing our plastic trash in the area.
